Where do trips depart?
All our boat trips leave from Victoria Pier at the end of the Cobb in Lyme Regis. Find your way to the harbour then walk along the harbour wall past Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium.
If I private charter a boat can I do a mixture of sightseeing and mackerel fishing?
Yes, when you private charter one of our boats what you do is entirely up to you. We can take you on a sightseeing cruise, a mackerel fishing trip or a mixture of both irrespective of what type of trip is specified on the booking timetable. Just let us know when you board the boat.
Do I need to bring any fishing gear, bait or any other equipment for a mackerel fishing trip?
No, all equipment is provided. We use hand lines for mackerel fishing with one line between two people which reduces tangles and makes for a better experience for everyone.
Are dogs allowed on the boat?
Yes, well behaved dogs are permitted.
What happens if I book a trip and the sea condition is rough or there is a bad weather?
We will cancel the trip and your money will be refunded. If a trip needs to be cancelled, you will receive an email informing you the trip has been cancelled and your booking fees will be refunded. If you choose to do so, you can book an alternative trip.
